The consultation may include an external physical examination, peak flow and basic urine testing, along with standard health measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure and more.
Consultation Fees:

|---|---|
| £85 Suitable for most consultations | £160 Includes private prescription if required |
Private Health Screening Options
If you have no specific concerns and are looking for a private health screening in Birmingham, you can choose from our options below. You’ll come into our practice for blood and urine samples, which will be sent to our lab for analysis. A comprehensive “traffic light” Green, Amber, Red style report is then provided for you, which is discussed at a follow-up consultation with our Doctor, who will be able to advise on a course of action or treatment if required.
How it works:
The initial appointment is with our Nurse. She will take your personal health measurements and collect blood and urine samples from you. You will need to
- Fast for at least 6 hours before your appointment (water only).
- Not undertake vigorous physical exercise for 48 hours before your appointment.
A follow-up appointment with our Doctor is arranged once your report is ready, usually within 7-10 days.

We will provide a comprehensive, professional and discreet service by tailoring a package just for you. Following the consultation process we will put together a bespoke health screening solution for you, from our Sutton Coldfield clinic.
We offer gender-specific screening ie. well-woman, well-man testing. This may include blood pressure, blood and urine sample tests as well as hormone and cholesterol screening, plus many more.
Following your consultation and the screening appointment you will attend a follow-up appointment. Your consultant will discuss the results of your health screening tests at our Sutton Coldfield clinic, making sure you understand the results clearly, before arranging for further tests or investigation, if necessary.
Well-Person Health Screenings alert you to potential health issues you have developed or are predisposed to before the symptoms begin. They allow you to intervene early and offer vital information regarding your overall health status. A Well-Person Health Screening will provide invaluable knowledge if you have a family history of particular conditions or unusual symptoms you can’t identify.
You may need to fast up to 10 hours before particular tests during your Well-Person Health Screening. Fasting ensures your blood glucose and cholesterol tests display your normal levels rather than those influenced by food and drink. It’s also helpful to bring a list of medications you’re taking and evidence of your health history. You should also wear comfortable clothes that you can easily pull up.
We aim to complete your report within a few weeks of your appointment to ease your anxiety and make any necessary steps as soon as possible. You’ll have a follow-up consultation with your practitioner, who will explain the results of your tests and answer any questions you have. They will also detail treatment courses and recommend lifestyle changes if applicable.
The recommended frequency of Well-Person Health Screenings depends on age, sex, susceptibility to particular conditions, and existing health issues. The older you become, the more often you should have a screening due to the increased likelihood of developing health concerns. As a basis, we recommend you have one screening annually to keep on top of your health status and ensure early detection of changes.
